    AR pistol piston upper

Hi I think this is the right forum to ask this question. I am looking at getting or trying to build from an 80% lower and AR pistol but I dont like the buffer tube sticking out. My question how good are the AR pistols that have piston uppers? Or would I be bettery off just getting a Drako AK

piston uppers still need buffer tube for buffer and or spring.
Gun Smoke Ent. in FL has one(short tube) that is 4" and uses a long slide 1911 spring.
You can also run it sans buffer tube if it's a 22LR.
    or...Draco is a cheap option.

Rockriver or ZM weapon have piston upper that does not need the receiver extension.

        Rock River arms has one.

They do not sell only the upper. Shame. I would buy it in a heartbeat, especially if they had it in 300 BLK.

It's the upper I would have bought.

Back in the day (early to mid 90s) Olympic Arms had a FUGLY upper like what you describe. I'd avoid that though.

I have owned AR pistols in the past and in my opinion NOTHING comes close to the Sig P556 which is a great piston setup with no buffer tube. Sweet shooting gun.

          Great deal at RifleGear also....

Edit: sorry I am a retard and didn't register you want to 80% a lower. Ignore this post completely.

I have the FERFRANS in 7.5 its a 5.56 piston upper with no noticeable muzzle climb and minimal recoil, perfect for an AR pistol, I have 3 in stock at the moment and can make you a great deal on one, send me a PM or an email to sales@gunsafari.com
