Can I sell just the receiver of a gun?

My slide is messed up, can I just sell the receive? It is a cougar so the receiver is the serialized part.

Yes you can, through a PPT in state (as just the pistol receiver/frame will be considered an “unsafe handgun,” thus subject to CA roster).

IIRC, if it was shipped to an instate dealer it would require an 07 FFL to “build up” the gun into a working condition, then SSE it, then DROS it to someone - thus being WAY expensive and not worth it.

Or sell it out of state.
