I just watched the Honest Outlaw review video on the Echelon. Seems like a really nice duty pistol. Good sights, great grip, optics ready. If I hadn't just bought a bunch of other pistols, I would definitely pick up an Echelon. But how many plastic F/S striker fired 9mms does a person need? I'm glad its on the roster!

I needed a suppressor host, so I bought one with a threaded barrel. It's a good gun and I like it, but it seems to have a little more recoil and muzzle flip than a similar sized Glock. Probably because it has a higher bore axis and heavier slide. It's 100% reliable with all ammo so far.

Nice post. Yeah what is happening with mfg’s and 9mm only pistols 🤨. I want some more 45acp ! Or something in the 357 magnum class - I have enough 9’s bro !!

I just picked up a LNIB Springfield MC Operator from a fellow Calgunner yesterday out of jail. I agree, 9mm is great but most of my pistols are 9mm, one needs a little variety. I also have the S&W 625. It's fun to take the 625 and a 1911 to the range and feel how insanely different a big revolver can feel compared to a 1911 shooting the exact same ammo.

Nice bro 🙂. I also am going to get a SA Operator soon, maybe a lcr max.

1911 is indeed a fine pistol ! Enjoy the MC Operator 👍

Here's another analogy: 9mm 1911 is like a XS sized condom. There is something for everyone.

Looks like a nice pistol for $630 or so. But as Capybara just said, how many striker fired polymer guns can you have. Damn I have enough.

Nevertheless, I just love how the roster is growing. Of course that came at the cost of an 11% Excise Tax and $5 a shot for ammo purchases. Bunch of sell-outs, our rivals are.

They are Termites. No matter how many wins we get like the Roster additions, the 1 in 30 going away, they are always going to be figuring new and a creative ways to screw us (AB1127, SB704, AB1089). California will
always be one step forward with individual freedom with two steps back unless we can figure out a way to depose the Commies in Sacramento. And considering 90% of the electorate are KoolAid swilling Commies too, it'll likely never happen.
We are always going be in triage mode, chasing after the latest infringements and as we do, the Commies are passing new ones.

The Derya DY9 Turkish G19 Gen 4 clone has decent reviews online, and for only $299 at Turners (pre-order starting July 18), it's almost too good to pass up.

It's going to become a collectible in California as it will quickly go off roster. Maybe I'll pick one up, just for fun at that price! I just watched some review videos. Wow, it has a rail to mount stuff, front slide serrations, flared magwell, optical cut, I didn't realize that it had all of these cool features that are $$ to add to my G19. I'm def going to put a deposit on one, that's a smokin' deal.

$408.74 OTD for Derya. Turner's has them on pre order $299. If it turn out to be a good handgun I'll get 2 more.

                            1) XDm Competition in 45ACP
                            2) XDs in 45 ACP

They were not replaced with a similar product. I sold the XDm, and I'm never going to carry the XDs in replace of a similar capacity 1911.

I'm sure 45APC will come back in style at some point, but that's not the trend.

Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

I’m going straight to 10mm if I ever decide to spend the dough it takes to get into the 2011 game.

Turners didn't have any ETA when the DY9 will show up, at least that's what the sales guy I was working with said. He said the Echelon is supposed to arrive to their stores in September, so no telling when the Derya will show up.

AB1127 would go into effect on Jan 1, 2026, so hopefully the DY9 arrives soon.
