S&W CSX E-Series

I am going to order the new CSX E Series through my LGS. I can’t decide if I want the 3.1 or 3.6 in barrel. In a pistol that small, will that extra half inch give me better expansion and performance with defensive hollow points? I really like the look of the 3.1in model.
