Too many hobbies, Too little time.
Mind you, I'm 5'7", 180, with a visible Ab... -
It's all metal. I'm personally not a fan of how small the slide is. I can't et a grip on it to rack the weapon. That's a deal breaker for me. A lot of people swear by it, though.i see well i called them today at 4pm and they still have them in stock, so maybe i'll make the trip there, i'll prolly start driving there 11, and when they open at noon i'll ask them if its still there and to hold one for me lol
is the sp01 all metal? and sp01 is a full size gun correct? and the p01's are usually compact?WARNING: This post may contain material offensive to those who lack wit, humor, common sense and/or supporting factual or anecdotal evidence. I don't know about a two hour drive, but's worth the rental fee to try one out at a range, for ergonomics. The cz is the only gun I have two of, the SA version and a tricked out SP-01==================

Remember to dial 1 before 911.
Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

It's because of the trigger. The DA/SA trigger (any DA/SA trigger) really just cannot be as nice as a SAO trigger. With a little bit of work, which can be free if you do it yourself or about $100 if you get the full-on kit from Cajun Gun Works, you can have an extremely nice DA and SA pull and break. You will always have some pre-travel in SA mode though. On the other hand, if you want to convert the gun to SAO you can do that, and you can have a trigger that is as good as a fully custom 1911 with zero pre- or over-travel, extremely short pull and reset, and a perfectly crisp break. A SAO CZ carries cocked and locked just like a 1911, with a safety that's in the same place and feels very similar (but no grip safety).
Ergonomics are even better for many people. Nobody complains about the grip of a 1911, but the CZ is shaped to fit your hand better and most people pick one up and feel like it was molded just for their hand. I find the factory rubber grips to be a bit thick (made it difficult for me to press the mag release and slide release without slightly altering my grip), but there are many replacement options. Accuracy is extremely hard to beat.
Me too! Although, I only have one 9mm "upper" and one .22 LR "upper" and switch them between frames as desired. Both frames have trigger work and other things done.Originally posted by Lead WasterThe cz is the only gun I have two of, the SA version and a tricked out SP-01

CZ's are great values for an all metal gun with one of the best ergos for the average size hand. For a DA/SA gun I liked the ones I had. Sadly had sold them to make room for some other guns and unfortunately DA/SA guns always takes the backseat to the SA guns. I will get another CZ later down the road especially one in SA.
An old picture to remember them by.

nope because i went ahead and called triple A in vallejo (where i live) before i left for that epic 2 hour drive, and what do you know THEY HAVE A cz sp-01 in STOCK,
markelys someone said was 650$, triple a was more expensive at 699
, but oh well
then went to the range after buying the gun to rent one lol, and MAN its a shooter felt really niceeee, pretty accurate (well for my skills), it was a cz75b i rented at the range so the feeling should be the same still as a sp01sigpicComment
