I need help in deciding if I should go ahead and buy a brand new CBOB for $1600 plus fees. This may the high end of the value of this gun knowing that this gun use to be under $1000 a few years ago makes me think at today's price might be too expensive. On the fence on this one. Need help in deciding.

$1600 before tax and fees, pass. For a little more you could get a baer.sigpicOriginally posted by victor1echoHollywood is satan!!!! -
I have to agree with chickenfried. It's an awesome gun you won't regret purchasing, but at just shy of double what I paid for mine, I'd pass as well. That's $500 too much.

The CBOB is a great gun, I have one and like it alot. I also have the sales receipt - $975.00 from City Arms in Pacifica. This was about 4 years back of course. I don't think I'd pay $1,600.00 for the gun - that's kind of like paying $20.00 for a pack of cigarettes in prison.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment

That's a funny analogy. I'm glad I asked the question on this forum. I'm going to post on the wanted forum if anyone wants to part with their CBOB.Comment

They were a great gun in 2008/09 for 1k. Now they are overpriced by about $400. At that price point get a Baer.Comment

I really appreciate everyone's post. I think I'm going to pass on this one. As much as I really like the CBOB, I'm going to have to agree with everyone's post. The Pistol is an excellent pistol but may be overpriced. Hopefully I find a used one at a reasonable price. Part of the fun is searching and finding.Comment

DW CBOB's are very nice IMHO. I'd buy used and set my upper limit at $1,200 for one in nice condition. They pop up every once in a while here for around that (or less)...only issue usually being the take down latch scratch. Beyond the cosmetics of minor blemishes, you can get a nice hand gun for significantly less than brand new.Comment

I paid $1050 for mine, wasn't into the neutered grip so flipped it for $1300.'disce pati 'Comment
