If I buy a pistol through a PPT do I need to have a HSC and does the 30 day rule apply?

HSC, yes. 30 day rule, no (except in the city of Los Angeles and maybe a couple others.)------------------------------------------------------------

On a PPT, no. On a transfer of anything other than a PPT, most likely yes, but it depends on the FFL.------------------------------------------------------------
