Glock 23 Questions...

I am currently in the market for a Glock 23 3rd gen, I know you can covert it from a 40 s&w, to 9mm, and a 357 Sig. I wondering... What mags for what models will fit the G23?? I'm new to Glock's so any feedback you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Glock 19 magazines will sit flush, but you could also use a Glock 17 magazine or a 33 rounder and they will extend out the bottom of the magwell.

No, G19 mags are shorter, so they will not work in G17. Magazines from full sized Glocks work in all smaller models of same caliber and will protrude from the bottom, but not the other way around.

G19 = G23 in terms of frame size and will seat flush.

Glock 19 magazines are for 9mm, not .40. I imagine if you're wanting to do a conversion to 9mm on your Glock 23 then they'll probably work. But I have heard that Glock .40 cal mags can feed 9mm, maybe someone who's tried it can chime in. You can also use g22 mags in the g23.

Let me clarify my last statement... I know the G23 is a .40 S&W, I jus need to know what mags will fit on the following conversions to the G23; 9mm barrel, and the .357 sig barrel... So the G19 mags will fit but you guys think the g23 mags might hold the 9mm, but what caliber does the G31/32 mags hold? Don't mean to come off rude just clarifying lol

the glock 32 holds .357 sig, in which you can use glock 23 magazines because the casing of .357 sig is the same diameter of .40

Awesome thank you guys! I have another question though, I was going to swap out the factory trigger for The Lone Wolf Distributors connector that's has a trigger pull to 3.5 lbs... Pros? Cons? Opinions?

The above posts are making something simple complicated.

The Glock 23 and 32 (.357Sig on the same frame) use the same magazines. The mags are identical. Both will work for either .40 or .357. The Glock 19 is the same frame in 9mm. You will use these mags for the 9mm conversion.

The Glock 22 and 31 are the larger (longer grip) guns in .40S&W and .357Sig respectively. Either of these magazines will work for your .40 gun, or with a .357Sig barrel, but will stick out a little. The Glock 17 is the same longer-gripped frame but in 9mm. The G17 mags will work with your 9mm conversion barrel, but will extend past the bottom of the grip as well.

The .40 and .357 magazines do not work well with 9mm. They might feed a few rounds, but you'll spend lots of time practicing clearing malfunctions.

This is not strictly true. The glock 357 mags are different from the 40 mags in two respects. The inside of the magazine tubes are different shapes. The 357 tube contains extra material near the nose end of the rounds to facilitate feeding of the necked cartridges. Also, the followers are different parts and are subtly different shapes to present the top round at the correct angle to the chamber. Using the 40 mags to feed 357 is not as reliable in my experience.

I have a Lone Wolf conversion (40-9) in my G23 and run G19 mags with no issues.

I did with mine and I loved my set up with polished internals. Made the trigger pull smooth and crisp. Way better than factory.

g17/g19/g26, g22/g23/g27 all fit the g17/g19/g26, g22/g23/g27, some will stick out the bottom of mag well.

g19/g23/g26/g27 will not fit g17 or g22 (too short)
g26/g27 will not fit g17/g19/g22/g23 (too short)

g17/g22 will fit all 9 and 40.

i dont have personal experience with other models, so cannot say with certainty how those fit.

for best results, a glock 23 with a 9mm conversion barrel you'll want the g19 mags and extractor
