para-ord double stack 9mm magazine help

Does anyone in the san jose area have a standard para or mecgar 9mm magazine that I could look at? I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue with a new to me para 18-9 where the extended magwell on the gun is interfering with the baseplate on the magazine so that it won't seat. I'm not sure if it's the gun or the magazine that's the problem, and I want to get some clue before going out and buying $50 magazines that may not solve the problem.
