Problem rimfire kit in a P220??

Just installed a new rimfire kit in a Sig p220, and noticed something that has me concerned. With the unit installed, the takedown lever locked, closed and cocked, there is some noticeable side to side play on the barrel-maybe .010 to .015 inches. I can put my finger tip on the muzzle and wiggle it back and forth.

The .45 barrel doesn't have this play when installed.

I haven't shot it yet. Is this normal? I'm wondering if I have a defect.
