Any reason not to buy a Glock 26?

Yes indeed
THIS..!^^^^^^^Glock's are one of those guns that will definately grow on you. I was one of the many turned off by their looks. Then I took a professional 4 day handgun course with a DA/SA Beretta that I thought I liked more and struggled. Felt like I was fighting the gun the entire time...which struck me as odd because when I test fired it at the range I loved it. I quickly learned their is a HUGE difference between plinking at the range and realistic training. I switched to a Glock, because so many of my fellow students were doing wonderfully with their Glocks and they swore by them. Turns out they were right. Once you know what you are doing, the Glock truly shines. Why? Simplicity of design. Everything about it is meant to make it as easy to master as possible. So instead of fighting the gun the entire time, it gets out of your way and you can focus on tactics and technique. After about 10 years of shooting a Glock, I am still absolutely smitten with them. I have tried many other guns, but none perform as well as a Glock during realistic training.
Glocks take care of business right out of the box.May the Bridges I burn light the way.

You did the right thing
Really, the GLOCK 26 is a neat pocket rocket. It can run large mags and you can pimp them if you desire.Thank you all for the great information. For all that are telling me to buy a standard size Glock first its too late. I bought the 26 this morning.
I handled the 17,19, ect, ect and while I do like the full size frame I think the 26 will serve me well. If the 26 functions well (which it should) and everything is good I can defiantly see myself buying a 17.
Congrats..!...
