Seriously, try one of the aftermarket mags....Wilson Combat or Chip McCormick.
Then, get a couple boxes of round nose ball ammo and shoot the heck out of it.

Try an emmory board on the feeder ramp, make sure it is smooth. I had that problem on my Sig, but not on my Kimber.

If the problem continues and Kimber bones me I will roll video of it, and put it on youtube. Then have my lawyer send Kimber a nice letter to them, and I will have to get results that way.

        Thanks for the advice guys
Mine failed to feed consistently from round #2 - and I eventually ran a significant amount of ammo through it in an attempt to "break it in." which failed to accomplish anything other than getting my malfunction clearance drill down pat.

Sent it in, they fiddled with it, sent it back, and the most it would run between FTF was 48 rounds - Six wilson mags full.

I could have fooled around with them and it more, but my paitence for malfunctioning 1911 platform pistols at that price point is about -0-.

I have two other Kimbers that do run 100%, so I know they can get it right, but evidently certain pistols fall through the cracks.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

To my observation higher end Kimbers are very tight guns. They are assembled to tight tolerances, but for some reason they are passing the QA with jams. For what I have read and heard the break-in period Kimber requires is 3-5 hundred rounds. That is just not acceptable in my book. When a tight tolerance target grade custom 1911 is built it will be test fired then broken down to see where the hang ups are then may need a tad bit of taking off where the high spots are. Then you just hope 500 rounds of shooting will cure it, if not then a trip back to the shop is mandated. Try some ball ammo first to break it in and don't overly lube it. A drop in the rail grooves, a drop in the bushing/barrel contact area, a drop at the disconnector tip, a drop in the recoil rod/plunger/spring contact points, a drop at the lower and upper lugs/link, and a touch at the breech where it contacts the rear of the barrel hood.
