    Glock 19 FTF

I hope that FTF means failure to feed. Here is the deal. When I load the Glock 19 10+1, the second round gets stuck. I have to manually pull back the slide to get it the rest of the way in there. After I finish that magazine and slap a new one it (10+0) it feeds everything fine. This is with Blazer Brass 115 gr.

Is this common? Might it be the ammo?

    Gets stuck where?

Glock 10 round magazines are meant for 10 rounds.

One round in the chamber, 10 in the magazine (I know 10 round magazines hold 10 rounds). First round fires and ejects (the one that was in the chamber prior to the 10 round mag being inserted) second round goes about half way into the chamber and the slide sticks open about half way. Pull back on the slide and it goes in.

        1. Is the gun clean/oiled? Dirty gun or lack of maintanence sucks.
        2. Is your hold on the gun correct? Holding it like a girl sucks.
        3. What ammunition are you using? Cheap ammo sucks.

These three questions will help find the right answer.

A Glock 19 should cycle any ball ammo.

          Is it a new gun?

If you chamber a round, take out the magazine, and then put one more round in the magazine to have 10 rounds in it, then insert the magazine, you may have a problem with the magazine not seating correctly. If the magazine is not seated correctly, it may cause FTF.

See if your problem still happens when you load 10 rounds in the magazine, then insert it with the slide locked open. Let the slide go forward. If the problem is gone, then my description is something you want to think about.

Gun is/was brand new, never fired.
I'm not sure how to hold a gun like a girl, I hold it two handed (not one handed sideways like a gangbanger).
I know Blazer is cheap, but I've never had issues with it in any other gun.
It only happens when there is a round in the chamber and insert a full mag. I push it in until it clicks in position. But a new mag inserted with no round in the chamber does not make it happen.

Try loading only 9 rounds in the mag and fire a couple of boxes through it.

If it continues, I would try another magazine too.

I want to say it happened with more than one magazine, but I'll try to break it in a little more to see if that helps.

How many rounds down the pipe? The only time I've had that problem was when I needed to replace the recoil spring. New spring, no problems.

Number your magazines and see which one is causing the problem. My guess is their might be something inside the mag that is hanging up the follower at that point in the mag. Is the magazine spring installed correctly? Just a few things to look at. If the magazine is new check for a burr, peice of plastic or another foreign object in the magazine.

                            Try polishing the feed ramp.

This was on my first trip out with it. First load of the first mag. Loaded the mag up with 10, racked one into the chamber, pulled out the mag added another round to the mag to put it back to 10.
Brand new mag. I'll try polishing the feed ramp, and numbering the mags to see if I can pick out one that does it.
Thanks for all the feedback guys.
