older Hi Cap Mag

I have a Beretta 92F that I bought new in 1993. it came with two 15 round mags. I have not shot it in about 13 years. now I want to get back in to shooting. my qustion is are the mags legal ? sorry I have not keep up on all the laws as I have not been into it. but now I want to get back into shooting with my 12 year old son. and dont want any problems.

Yes, your 15 round magazines are legal.

Also, if you have reliability issues with the magazines, it is legal for you to aquire magazine parts to repair/rebuild those magazines.

They are legal so long as you posessed them in CA prior to 1/1/00

As long as you own them, it's legal. In CA there is no law against possessing a standard or hi cap mag. It's selling, lending, importing and manufacturing will get you in trouble.

For example: a LEO can legally purchase as many standard/hi cap mag as he/she like after 1/1/00. Once he legally own them, even he no longer a LEO (ex-LEO), he can still use them.
