    Kali Key AR Pistol

If you install a Kali key on an AR pistol would you be able to use mags over 10 rounds?

A non-semi-auto handgun can not be an assault weapon.
Therefore the magazine does not need to be fixed and the magazine capacity does not matter.

        Most work performed while-you-wait.

Constructive possession of semi auto parts, sounds stupid but this is California.

              Go read the actual laws.
Notice that all the restrictions are on semi-autos.

Would you care to cite the law on constructive possession? To my knowledge it does not exist.

He's probably talking about case law from Nguyen.

A prohibited person who got caught with the parts necessary to assemble an illegal assault weapon.
                    Good summary here:

It's reaching REALLY far to say that we have constructive possession as Nguyen had MUCH more going on than your typical law-abiding citizen.

I appreciate the comments from those who know the laws. I'm trying to figure out if a collapsible stock would also be legal with the Kali Key/single shot BCG installed, or if I must use the buffer tube and brace?
Also, is there a link to the flowchart mentioned? I'm new here, my apologies.

Stock is a no-go, that would be a federal and state short barrel rifle. Single shot or semi auto does not matter, they are both equal for SBR. And brace on a pistol is a big YMMV in CA

US Supreme Court also has an opinion on constructive possession. In United States v. Thompson/Center Arms Company, 504 U.S. 505 (1992), the United States Supreme Court explained that a NFA firearm is made if aggregated parts are in close proximity such that they: (a) serve no useful purpose other than to make an NFA firearm (e.g., a receiver, an attachable shoulder stock, and a short barrel); or (b) convert a complete weapon into an NFA firearm (e.g., a pistol and attachable shoulder stock, or a long-barreled rifle and attachable short barrel). Id. at 511-13.

So OP, unless you have other ARs, I sure wouldn't keep a standard stock near this pistol project you have in mind.
