My vote for most precise would be Thompson Center Contender. Not sure if 10mm barrels are still available from factory or not, but I am sure aftermarket could be found.

If it is going to take custom machining, you might as well just spend $50 for the TF Sight Block and mod it or weld it on... even red loctite. That's a product that is 90% there already even for CA.

Lone Wolf Arms is the largest manufacturer of aftermarket parts for Glocks. We also have M&P Shield, Beretta/Taurus, and Browning Hi-Power parts.

That’s if you really need the high cap.

If a single stack is fine get a Springfield Armory 1911 in 9mm. Buy a 6” bald oversized slide from Caspian, a 6” bull barrel from Barsto and send the parts to your favorite gunsmith. Specify that you have a 9mm top end and want all the fitting on the slide so you can swap top end.

When I say best, I mean precision.

              Looking for ideas.
              Umm, how precision are you??

Unless if you can shoot like Jerry Miculek or better, just go to the store and buy a Kimber Eclipse in 10 mm.

You don't need to make one and the one you put together from odds and ends will be a lot less precision than that Kimber.
              Good luck,

Get a Glock 20 add a 21lb flat spring and Stainless guide rod . 6 inch slide, 6 inch Barrel some good sights,135 grain Underwood rounds and some solid shooting fundamentals. You will look like a superhero . Laser accurate.
I was under the impression that Glock Gen 4, 5 slides wont work on Gen 3.

                  Good luck,
True, he did say 'accurate' and not 'reliable', so Kimber could be in the running.

                    I couldn't discern the most accurate 10mm from the following;
                    Witness Elite Custom
                    Custom built 2011
                    Glock 20
                    XD-M

Maybe the G20 was marginally better, maybe not. I shoot and am used to the Glock platform.
The 2011 felt the best on recoil, undoubtedly from the weight.
