I've got one on my CCW but have only carried it twice - just too small for my liking. It's definitely a quality gun that is accurate and lots of fun to shoot. Very accurate for such a small gun.

Sig P238 HD

I used to own that pistol and absolutely loved it. Tiny fun to shoot and pretty accurate with some practice. I miss it. The only issue I ran into was the take down pin fell out all the time when racking the slide. Super strange problem. There is a small spring that holds it in place and it wears out quickly. I had my pistol for a year and had to replace the spring 4 times!

I love my P238HD. For me, it's more accurate and comfortable than my G26. I pocket carry it and my only real complaint is that it's a tad too heavy which makes it hard to pocket in light weight pants or shorts. If I was considering buying one now I'd be more inclined to go with the regular P238 rather than the HD. But the HD sure is a nice looking piece and being all SS is what pulled me in.CRPA Life MemberComment

Matching the P238 size very closely, the Kahr MK9 gets you a virtually same sized frame but in 9mm vs .380 and same capacity.
For full disclosure, I have one for sale on Orange County if interested: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...3#post23348043Comment

The HD is a little heavier, hence, easier to shoot if you're recoil sensitive, but also heavier for pocket carry.P238 is my everyday CCW carry. It's strapped to me right now. Mine's not the HD though. There's no sense in carrying the extra weight but my Wife LOVES her HD. Some of the new .380 self defense rounds make it a good compact alternative to a 9mm IMHO. I carried a .40 M&P shield before the 238.

FYI These pistols have a firing pin block safety that makes it safe to carry with a round in the chamber and the hammer down. This helps keep the lint out of the hammer recess and only requires cocking the hammer to shoot. No problem for a experienced shooter.
I carry mine every day in a De Santis pocket holster. I use the extended mag with the pinky rest.
A small gun carried is worth more than a larger gun left at home. Close range only, obviously, and not a offensive weapon.

Kahr pistols are great pistols, but the trigger is way different then most. Basically like a revolver double action. I find it hard to switch back and forth with my other pistols.Matching the P238 size very closely, the Kahr MK9 gets you a virtually same sized frame but in 9mm vs .380 and same capacity.
