Is the Cimarron Bad Boy 44mag SA revolver CA Compliant?

Searched all over the CA DOJ website, and no info whatsoever on the exemption of SA revolvers from roster safety testing(big surprise), even though the text of Title 11 describing said exemption is clearly displayed at the top of the Roster of Handguns page.
Does anyone know if the revolver can be purchased by the average citizen in CA?
    Thx.

There is also a workaround for shorter barrels and DA revolvers using this exemption. It's one of the few remaining roster workarounds left for us in CA.

However, any full size SA revolver is good to go as-is.

It is exempt from the roster because it is a single action revolver with a barrel longer than three inches so yes you can get it here.

Oh so that part of the law explains why I don't see "Sheriff" or "Shopkeeper" models of SA revolvers anymore. I loved the birdshead grip frames that normally come with those bbl lengths too.

Yes, you are talking about SAE on DA revolvers. Still must have minimum 3 inch barrel and 7.5 inch overall.

Some of the Colt Shopkeepers were under 3 inch barrel. Sheriffs models were generally 3-4 inch.

I'm sure some of the clone manufacturers make versions of them with birds head grip and 3 inch barrel. Ruger makes a Vaquero with 3.5 inch barrel and birds head.

Cimarron makes a couple like that and Gallery of Guns doesn't show them as restricted when I put in a CA zip code:

Yup, but if you remember what passed for "a barrel" during the heyday of SSE you get the idea how it also works these days for, e.g., short-barreled Chiappa Rhinos .
