    Springfield Mil spec 4"

I got a Springfield " Champion Mil spec " or " Mil spec Champion " 1911 a looong time ago. Not sure which it is called. It is an all steel Mil spec 1911 with a 4" barrel (hence Champion) has a commander hammer, yet no beaver tail grip safety. It has a grip safety like the old rat tails and has a plain parkerized finish. Another thing is the Reverse spring plug has a tab and there is a notch on the slide's plug housing that this tab sits in by about 1/8". It has a gi guide rod and the front of the recoil spring plug is closed with a notch across it like the head of a screw.I did some searching and did not find anything a bout this or the sku#. Have you guys seen a Springfield like this?

That was SA's champion version in the early 90's. I had one actually. Paid around $350 for mine.
