    Springfield XD-45 Compact

Does anyone have any experience with these, the Springfield XD-45 compact? Shooting or carrying.

It has a flush fitting 10 round mag. Thinking of making this my next purchase. I have a XD-9 that I've had for 10 years and it has been great. Over 4,000 rounds with not a single problem.

    Thanks

My neighbor owns one. I took it shooting along with his other 2 XDs... a full size and midsize. Of the 3, I really enjoyed shooting the compact. I got some pretty good groupings. It felt comfortable in my hands. Recoil wasn't bad at all.

I'm a new shooter so take this for what it's worth.

I've heard that about the compact, that it seems more accurate than the others

I shot it before I bought my first pistol. I was looking for a full size, 9mm all steal. I would probably have bought one had I been looking for a compact.

I rented both the Glock 21SF and XD 45 service model. The XD fit my hand better because of its smaller grip, but it also had more muzzle flip. It also felt top heavy when the mag wasn't full. I ended up getting the Glock.

It's my cuurent EDC. It's deadly accurate at CQB distances and has low felt recoil. Also, it's super easy to conceal.

I carry a XD-45 compact as well. Of the three pistols on my permit, it's the one I carry the most. It's almost identical in size to a Glock 19 (which I used to carry a lot). I came to the conclusion that if I'm limited to carrying 10 rounds, I might as well carry the same sized pistol with the same capacity in a bigger round.

The XD-45c is accurate and easy to shoot.

I also have the 45c, it's in my carry rotation. Great gun!
