    Plus One

If you liked the XD Subcompact youll love the Service Model. My avatar is the XD service model. Service model came with 3 mags, speed loader, double mag pouch, and holster. My subcompact came with 2 extra mag promo. 6 mags altogether. All for around the price of one HK2000 or a Sig P229. Both are manageable and accurate. Fellow clasemates were blown away by the number of bulls eyes during a qualification test. They were asking "what is that".

Hence why so much glocks end up in used markets. To a gloktard, if it ain't got the "g" word its a pos becuz all the tactikool operators only use it and all the militaries and police use it. I've owned glocks before. I just can't stand the fantards behind it. Still got my g19 but it only does backup duties. My bnl been trying to offload his g30 to me cuz he can't stand shootin it but I declined.

Op. I'd suggest if ur set on the xd series u should also try out the xdm's. Imo its more a refined firearm.
This was the only hateful post in the thread, good job. Since the Xdm is not on roster the OP will have a really hard time "trying" one out. He can pay double to buy one ppt but he wont be able to rent or borrow one most likely, unless he has a friend with an Xdm.
So um... moon labia or something.

The XD isn't bad, the price makes them more attractive. Ammo needs to make a fairly long climb into the chamber. This caused problems with longer 9mm (PMC) FTF. They work well, just not exceptional in any category. That's my expierence with the XD.
          Try the M&P yet ?

I've had Glocks for years but I bought a XD9 for my wife as she couldn't grip a Glock. I must say that I've kind of fallen in love with the dependability of the XD but I don't really care for the trigger.. Recently a guy at the range let me try his XD with a PRP trigger and I was amazed. I will be installing one in my wife's XD9.

Now that being said, I still love my 1911's but it's nice to have HD firearms that require very little maintenance .

I once was that noob that fell for it and dumped my G19 onto the used market luckily I got back nearly what I paid for it, it unfortunately turned me off handguns for several years, although it turned me towards AR's which I love to shoot. Anyway XDM's are not on roster neither are M&P's which I hear great things about, but I can't justify paying the resell on those.

By the way, I ended up purchasing the 1911 9mm from Springfield. Once I held it fit like a glove, and it's was silly smoth racking the slide so it made my decision easy. Now I have 10 days to wait. Range report to follow

I love USPs of all sizes and calibers, but the P2000 was never right for me. I have medium-large hands and the length of pull seemed way too short for some reason. I can shoot my LCP just fine, but I just never liked the P2k.
