    Dean Wilkerson Gunsmithing?

Just wondering if anyone has had any recent experiences with him as it relates to 1911 work?

Secondhand knowledge only - an acquaintance of mine went to Dean back in 2015 to de-bubba a 90's vintage Norinco 1911A1 to which the previous owner had done some questionable work. Dean did a nice job ditching the crap parts, fitting a Wilson Combat barrel, polishing the feed ramp, and turning the pistol into a solid, reliable .45ACP lead projector.

Based on my associate's experience, I'd use Dean if I needed his services. Furthermore my LGS has him on a short list of area gunsmiths worthy of the name.

For what my unverified opinion is worth...
