Cant go wrong with Gen 2 Glock... I prefer Gen 4 than Gen 2.

Been shooting my Gen2 G23 since the late eighties. Only thing I've replaced is the recoil spring, and that was last year.

I prefer gen 2 reliability but gen 4 accuracy. For myself gen 4 grip feels marginally better

Gen 3 is still my workhorse though

Recently picked up a gen 2 G19 here in the marketplace for a fair price ($500). Looked to be hardly used. One date with her at the range and she was instantly a new favorite. Tough as hell too. Did a bonehead move and dropped it in my driveway one day. Picked it up expecting to find some nasty scrapes or gouges and to my surprise, not a single noticeable mark or scuff. Truly bulletproof.

I'm so glad I didn't sell my 90s era Glock 21. It feels faster than my Glock 40 MOS. No finger groves to mess up my draw.

Gen 1, 2 and around 10 years and older Gen 3 Glocks dont have MIM parts.

There you go.. That offer to me may get one offered to you.
Ideally you want all original parts to include uncaptured guide rod and spring. Don't forget the old adjustable rear sight that over-hung the back of the slide.

So if I ever get a gen 2 Glock, be sure to replace recoil spring?
Heard a lot of gun owners do that.
