There is no major power factor for production.

        no scoring advantage? yes.
ammo more expensive? yes, but not really by that much.
recoils more? sounds louder? yes and yes. that's probably why it's more fun to some shooters.

to some shooters, it's all about their own fun.

RTF is a short-lived gen3 Glock variant with a Rough Texture Frame. It is essentially a predecessor to the gen4 grip pattern (RTF used pyramid-square points, gen4 uses the RTF points with the top leveled off - square-prismoids). Some also had a different slide serration layout (curved; fish gills). AFAIK, this was mostly created for the LE market.

Feedback from this undoubtedly lead to the softer gen4 texture.

All i know is, it feels really good. Very grippy. I have sweaty hands and the grip helps alot.

For some reason i cannot explain, i shoot and group better with .40s vs 9mm. Very strange, yes i like to shoot 40 short and weak. Lol

Thanks! Yes tons of fun. I am looking for a 17 or 34 slide to use instead of the 40s. Til then i will be using the fishgill for newbie comp. I still need to practice, getting over a torn rotator cuff. I hope to compete or at least show up at Richmond to get some range time at the ap range.
