    recommend a local store

Can anyone recommend a local store in the Bay area, preferably East Bay, that has Glock 19, M&P, and XDs in stock. I have a friend who's new to pistols who wants to buy a gun and most of my gun buying experience has been online or out of state. I know Sportsmen Supply in Campbell is out of the running since I didn't like the amount of fud coming from them the one time I bought there.
    Thanks.

Tracy Rifle and Pistol. A little farther east but a great shop to visit.

Not east bay but the folks at Reeds in Santa Clara are very helpful and the place is well stocked. Worth a phone call and a drive if they have what you want.

There's also City Arms in Pleasant Hill, call and ask for Roman, he's a good guy and the owner.

Try out the pistols at Reed's indoor range to figure out what he likes. I recommend Mount Pleasant Arms when he figures out what he wants to buy.

If you rent at Reeds and then buy they give you a discount. Also they are very helpful and will spend time helping you find the right gun, be kinda rude, imho of course, to then go buy somewhere else just to save a few dollars.

I would say J@R or The Gun Vault has more verity than any other shop in Bay Area .
I'd check both out . But make sure you price check the Gun Vault .

The gun vault in Mt. View?

Reeds smokes them like a virginia ham in selection, price and customer service.

I want that impressed by the sales associates' knowledge. That said, my suggestion was to rent the pistols to get some range time with them before buying, not pick the salesperson's brain then go elsewhere.

+1 for Reed's and gun vault...in that order.

And I have patronized sportsmans supply in Campbell a time or two, just don't discuss anything that might lead to FUD on their part.
                          Sorry, not sorry.

Go nowhere else. Tracy Rifle. Ask for Garrett or Erin. She is a character. I drive all the way from Concord to do business there.

Applying a hot iron to your genitals would be more enjoyable than visiting Canyon Sports. Terrible people selling amazingly overpriced product.
