    1911 questions

I'm looking for an railed 1911 with an budget around $1200.

I tried kimber's, sig's, colt's and springfield.. ouf of them all, the Springfield felt the best..

any pro's and con's with the Springfield? any one had issues with their mcoperator?

if not the springfield, what should i look for?

    thanks.

Can't go wrong with the Springfield. I have a Loaded- which is pretty much the same gun partswise without the rail. I've never had any problems with it and it's very accurate and reliable.
A friend of mine has the Sig with a rail. It feels and shoots very much like the Springfield IMO. The SA has a great warranty so between the two I'd go SA.
Not much on roster in 1911's with a rail to choose from. Good luck.

The Sig is a super nice 1911, with allot of options. It will hang with any of them.

I would personally go with a springfield for the reason's already mentioned. The sigs are nice and a great gun, but limited on holster selection.

SA's customer service is top notch and no problems with the mc operator!

After doing months and months of research I just picked up a Sig 1911 nitron w/rail. Paid 950. It was a tough choice between that and a SA loaded without a rail for 830. Would like to own both.

I love the Sig so far, but haven't owned it long enough to give you a testimonial.

Part of me wishes I had spent a couple hundred more dollars and gotten the SA MC Operator...... But I almost always have buyers remorse.

                Good luck

It's "Marine Corps", the Corps is only pronounced core.

The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)

Unless you're the current president, who says Marine Corps with the 'ps.'

Just in case: roster notice/warning: do not go by the name of MC Ops. PX9105ML(P) is on roster. Do not order 2015+ model, PX9110ML(P).

Easy way to tell them apart is the PX9105ML has the rubber grips. -> http://www.kygunco.com/45-loaded-ope...gs-fxd-ns-2009
Still some available, get them while you can, but I am pretty sure SA will still make our version in small batches.

I handled 3 SA's in the shop but jailed the Sig. So far I have been very happy with it and have zero buyer's remorse. Honestly don't think you can go wrong either way.

The Marine's own websites and newspaper consistently use Corps, what does the President have to do with this?
