    If you get a Mark 23, I don't think you'll ever need the warranty. Those guns will outlive you.

    The finish on my USP barrel and slide has worn off quite a bit from hard use and I've never had a problem with corrosion. The metal treatment is independent of the black finish.

      Yep. The slide and barrel on the USP are nitrocarburized and then the black oxide finish is applied on top of that. The finish on the Mark 23 is even more durable.
