Thanks to all of you that have helped with my decision to pick up a commander bobtail.
I've liked Smith and Wesson for its quality and lifetime no nonsense warranty for quite a while now, so the choice was pretty easy.
I've made a small modification to the grips. Cut a groove and dyed them to mute the loud color. I think they turned out really well.
This thing feels and shoots amazing. The first couple hundred rounds have been flawless with cheap, old ammo I had collecting dust.
Hope the before and after pics of the grip color change comes through.

The fit and finish on this pistol is as nice as anything I own and the trigger is just sublime.
