Today would have been the first day of official competition at the Tokyo Olympics if not for the postponement due to Covid-19.
For many Olympic cycles now, the first medal event contested is women's 10m air rifle. Four years ago, my friend Ginny Thrasher took the gold medal in Rio.
Unfortunately, those that made the team for Tokyo will have to wait another year.
My last match was U.S. Olympic Team Trials and I have since retired. I'm starting to miss competing......maybe I will come out of retirement.
