Had my appointment yesterday at Grant county sheriffs office. The drive was very nice coming from Bend.
Got to the office and they processed my renewal. The process was easy, they took my old Grant county CCW that expired in July 2023, did some computer stuff, took a pic and then did some more computer stuff and I got my new license and signed the back of it. No paperwork was needed from me as I was a renewal.
My wife then submitted paperwork for her initial license. We had done the required paperwork at home with copies of the required items. They did need to see her two forms if ID and her other CCW licenses that we had photocopied.
She then had to take a picture and do fingerprints. Then she was issued her Grant county CCW and we left. The whole process took 30 minutes for both of us.
The area was very nice and we ate in town before leaving.
Overall, the process was easy and fast, and I was surprised my wife got her license same day. Highly recommend, and we even got to see a prisoner behind the glass being transported while wearing their black and white striped jail outfit. Just like on TV.
