Seen lots of people touting the P238...

...for carrying on-roster handguns. Well.. I have a script that crawls Sportsmans Warehouse and it's been alerting me that the P238 is in stock.

    Enjoy

That's a good little gun. Really easy racking.

    Those grips suck though.

Really pricey but what isn't right now?

Great little pistol! I agree that the grips suck. I wrapped mine in sk8 tape, and I'm really happy with the results..

If the gripe is the grip, get one. Hogue is quite effective and is not an arm or leg.

          Good idea.

I put G10 grips on mine.

Not really pricey at the moment.

Good for those starting out with CCW.

            +1 on the Hogue grips.

Love my P238 also, grips only thing I changed, have had it for a couple years now.......... Hate to say it but it was on sale for $599 last week, surprisingly never sold out so they now still have it at regular price. Worth it either way IMO

Heck, these were $500-550 USED in the marketplace pre-COVID, if you could find one. For $15-20 on ebay for the Hogue wrap around finger groove grip is a cheap and worthwhile add on. Really easy to manipulate the slide, and feels about like a .22 recoil wise. "Expensive" maybe, but it's a Sig, and for what it is and does it's hard to argue with. My only regret was ignoring all the good reviews and not buying sooner... I didn't think such a tiny gun could shoot so well, live and learn.

I added the ambi safety on mine, and run Kimber Micro 380 7 round mags (needed a slight trim at the front of the base to not stick, 2 seconds with an x-acto to fix). I prefer the way the gun "points" with the base the Kimber mags use, I tended to tilt muzzle "up" with the Sig base.... SA 911 mags also fit fine (as do old Colt Mustang mags I've heard), so lots of mag options. MagGuts has a +1 kit for both the 6 and 7 round mags, although its a pricey way to get 8+1 with an extended mag. But 24-25 rounds with gun and 2 mags in a highly concealable package ain't too bad!

I see in the pix above the TLR-6 which gives you a low output flashlight and laser on top of the stock night sights, so you shouldn't be able to miss without trying really hard!

There are not many guns I could recommend without hesitation, but I've suggested this model many times since I got mine. One night at the range, I think the RO and I "sold" 3 of them... try one, you'll like it!

What do you guys think about this compared to the CZ Rami 2075 for CCW?

Just found this while searching: https://www.sigsauer.com/p238-rainbo...o-compact.html

Love my Tiny Sig P238! Surprisingly soft and easy to shoot for such a tiny gun.
Sold my Glock 42 to my brother and kept the P238.

                              Not my favorite.
You cannot acquire a master grip and keep such grip when disengaging the safety, costs to much time in an emergency.
It also has to sit real deep in a holster to be secure further interrupting a first touch master grip.
                              That's my take.
