Orange County Now 5 Guns On CCW - Fact or Fiction

I hate to start with "I was at the gun show today in Costa Mesa and was told...", but I am... I purchased a couple PPT'd CZ pistols today... and while the Background check was processing, the FFL and another patron of the "booth" both insisted that OCSD was issuing licenses as of "a few weeks ago" with the option of up to 5 pistols, as opposed to the three most of use have grown to know.

I have looked for about an hour online, on the OCSD web site and search this forum and can find nothing to back up the above....

Does anyone know this to be fact?

    regards, and carry on !

Wow. That's cool. Hopefully more counties take a cue from them.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Sweet! As an OC native nice to see positive changes in OC regs. While I miss living in OC I do enjoy CCW refs in Kern, I believe we can have 10 guns on our permit.

                  This is definitely good news!
As of my 3rd renewal which is on May 2018, I can add 2 more pistols.

Whahahahaha, it's a fact because you saw a thread on Calguns???

Reminds me of the joke, "I saw it on the internet, so it must be true"

It is definitely a fact. As the first guy to be issued the new CCW design by the OCSD, I was also informed that five firearms are now allowed on your CCW.

Read a letter from OCSD at the local indoor range. They won't change guns anymore until you renew.

So what you add to list during your renewal is what you keep for two years.

For those who posted they favor having only one on their list.

I just did a modification for two more weapon on my CCW last week, with another year remaining on my permit. OCSD just needs you to come in for new prints and picture as it doesn't have the ability to transfer over from the old system. The process only took about five days from the time I mailed in the form and my check.

A San Diego county resident, thinking very hard to move to Orange County. Beautiful place and democratic on top of it. Have to star making plans.
