    Congrats!

I heard yesterday, there are around 140 applications in process, around 30 pending, and a total of around 260 issued in Sonoma county. I wonder how accurate that is, but the info did come from a person I would halfway expect to know these things.

She said it would have been more quick but with PGE outages and the fire and holidays and influx of applicants it took longer. I was told the live scan takes up to 10 days but it took a month so that took a chunk of time to get back.

You can only add handguns chambered in .38, .357, 9mm, .40 and .45 to the permit. No competition weapons or modified weapons of any kind can on the permit. For now, the weapons listed on your permit need to be just as they were when they left the factory. Any modification voids the permit.

This is per SCSO CCW Policy 207.6.1 (c) with further clarification made directly with the SCSO.

I would not have a spouse write it. I chose a close friends wife, the owner of the company I work for and a client. All have either shot or trained with me and two of them are currant Sonoma county CCW permit holders and LEO

I would be inclined to say she DOES count as a relative. I would suggest finding an alternative, however, this is not based on anything other than my opinion.

What do you think about using the "attach a voicemail" feature to inform her? Did you use that as part of your application for anything else?

About how long did it take for them to process the application?
