My interview is today! I'll go with the Polo and nice jeans look. I hope the 6 month turn time gets better, but I'm probably going to get it some time around July 4th, haha

My interview was 10/06. So I guess I'm almost 1/3 there if the wait time is 6 months

A suit would be an overkill. I wore a shirt with collar and clean jeans (no holes) and sneakers. My thinking is this is really an interview and probably would not be a good thing to come in shorts, but at the same time would probably give the impression of 'trying hard to impress' if you come in in a suit. Just my two cents.

I wore shorts and a hoodie. Hoodie was to cover my Molon labe tattoo. Keep in mind I am not approved yet

The investigator I meet with to pickup my CCW told me they have to be on the list, a friend who took the class with me had a different investor and his was accepted. Maybe give the Sheriff office a call and confirm the company you are choosing.

If you looking into training classes make sure they are listed on the Sheriffs web site or paperwork. I took my class through a company that said they were approved by San Joaquin County and it turns out they were not. They are in contact with the Sheriffs office trying to get it resolved but not sure how long it will take so I may end up retaking the class

Did they tell you a class from someone not on the list would not be accepted? The application says they recognize certified instruction but do not endorse any specific instruction or training program. Additionally I asked this exact question during my application interview & was told they accept any certified instruction, on or off their list, it just may take a few days extra for them to check on the cerification of the person is not on their list. I plan to use someone not on the list, so this is a concern to me.
I do know people who have been issued their permit but used someone not on the current list.

None that I saw. Was there early AM. One other person there was also from April.

Sheriff said they are seeing a second wave of applications from the Perulta ruling now!
