My range day was April 8th (and they were hacked April 7th). I'm still waiting for my CCW. Sarah responded to my inquiry and said it will be months before they catch up . . .

Have all the other foot-dragging Sheriffs contacted San Bernadino to see how they too can get hacked (or is that a DOJ call)?

This whole situation is completely unacceptable and I?m sure nobody will be held accountable and none of us can do anything about it? there are manual processes as a last resort and should be other, alternative processes, but they are so fuc|<ing lazy they?ll just say there?s nothing they can do. Nevermind the other agencies the work can be delegated to.

Their negligence and lack of integrity is resulting in a block to our 2A rights to carry.

If anyone knows another way, please state it here. If folks are still taking range qualifications, they *should still have a way to operate?

I submitted my app on Apr 1, 2023 and the scheduling app wasn?t working at that point. They won?t even respond to emails.

For those that have dropped their renewal paper work off at the Glen Helen CCWS office. Which building do you go to? The Google maps directions they give on their website has multiple 18901 buildings (satellite view). Is it the main office building? I am heading there in the morning.
          Thanks!

Park where the track is at. Follow the walkway around the track toward the bungalows. You'll see a sign on the ccw bungalow. Go there.

                Follow the signs

Follow the signs. Keep following the signs. Then follow the signs some more.
The bungalow is a long way from the parking lot...

Wait! There are signs? I couldn't even see the ccw sign at the Apple Valley Gun Club. It seems that I am blind in one eye, and can't see out of the other. Requalification was interesting.

                    CCW Weapon/Gun Change

Hello, I searched the thread and just wanted to confirm that we can only change a gun on our CCW at renewal, correct?

I just got my CCW this past November, so it looks like I have to wait a while to make a change to what is on my CCW.

Did you refer to the FAQ on the SBCSD CCW site?

Thanks. I was looking at the renewal FAQ rather than the general FAQ.

I dropped off my renewal paper work and talked to the gentleman that sorted through them. I am not sure if he was a deputy or not, he wasn't wearing a traditional uniform. He said they have no idea when their CCW system will be back up. I got the impression their unit is a low priority. He couldn't even print up a receipt for my money orders, he said that was part of the broken system. Sad and frustrating situation. Looks like a bunch of us will not be packing for much longer.

Curious what they are going to do once we hit the six month DOJ deadline.

                                San Bernardino

The whole thing is sketchy. They don?t seem to care at all, definitely doesn?t seem like a priority.

They won?t even respond to emails, maybe some have gotten responses. Frankly it?s totally unacceptable there isn?t a continuity plan while their system is rebuilt. It?s denying constitutional rights to residents of the county; I believe this is cause for legal action against SBC Sheriffs. Unfortunately, even legal action is unlikely to be swift?

Even says in CA penal code 26155 that a municipal police dept chief can issue, but they?re too dishonorable to make that an option for us.

?(b) The chief or other head of a municipal police department may issue a license under subdivision (a) in either of the following formats:
                                (1) A license to carry concealed a pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person.?

Anyone in the county willing to seek legal advice and/or file a suit?
