Just be patient, also call your local RSO station to schedule a live scan appointment on or the days following your interview.

alx_cee137, thanks... I am trying to be patient, but unfortunately i have an over active "what if" area in my brain. Thanks for the tip, i did schedule my livescan for the 6th as well.

I completely understand you. I spent my waiting periods (pre and post interview) carrying my empty gear just to adjust to carrying on my person. I think it prepares you in knowing to set up your EDC if you spend your time carrying just the IWB holster and mag pouches. Within that time frame I went through two different set ups. I finally got it down to a functional operational way, I also went to some open shooting ranges to practice my drawing and engagement skills, of course I didn't concealed it, just tucked in my shirt all around and exposing my gear so no one would get "smart" with me saying I'm carrying a concealed firearm.

My question is has anyone here used the Beaumont indoor range for their class and qualifying? I know it is more expensive than Ben Clark but i have heard that BC is usually booked up now. Also if anyone has any pointers for a new applicant that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That is the same thing that I have been doing, and I know that I am enjoying a speedier process that most that have come through before. I am still searching for a modestly priced leather carry belt. I received a Hanks Kydex reinforced belt today that I ordered, but it was too small even though I used their sizing chart. I prefer leather, but I think I will probably end up going nylon.

I'm using a KORE leather belt, I'm a size 36 pants cut down the belt to size 42, best EDC belt with my loadout ever.

Question guys, for amendments in terms of adding another firearm, is it mandatory that I qualify w/ BTC or can I qual with the same facility where I took my class? I just need detailed clarification due to the CCW portal being kind of confusing. What is the process through the portal? Thank you in advance.

I just finished an add to mine. You can use any approved facility for qualifications - they will give you a form you upload to the portal. The process was really easy.

Start by calling or emailing your investigator and letting them know you are adding a weapon to your CCW. If you are going to use Ben Clark for qualifying ask for an appointment (no fee for adds).

Go to portal. Fill out a one-page form (remember to include your previously approved weapons). Pay a fee using your CC on line. Upload any documents they request (CDL). Submit form and print out a copy for your records.

Go through qualifying and get a copy of your signed qualification form from the instructor - you do not have to requalify with existing weapons. Take that home and upload it to the portal. Call or email investigator to tell them you are done.

Wait until they call you to come pick up your revised CCW (I got the call the day following qualifying).

Thank you, this was much more helpful than the CCW website.

Update for people who use Ben Clark for the CCW class.

They do not require you to wear a vest anymore. They also do not care what kind of holster you use, as long as it fits your firearm. My instructor Mr. Coin (sic) was a pleasure and would recommend him.

Now just to get my livescan done and I will be set!

Thank you Blaster. Do you know what the cost is at Ben Clarke?
