I did mine in Sep/Oct and didn?t ask for it and my fingerprint is on my card. I always thought it came from Live Scan.

The permit itself require your right thumb print, that's separate from the fingerprints you did for your live scan.

They probably looked at your app in Oct saw it wasn't complete and moved it to the back of the line.

Does it matter which city you are in within OC? I just submitted my application and the first date available was in March....no idea how you guys got a date so quickly

That?s not how they did it before. They would give temp approval, pending your submission of the cert class qualification.

Initial app filed Nov 2022. Got final approval Nov 22, 2023. Paid license fee over phone and now waiting for license to be delivered USPS. Hoping it doesn't get lost in holiday mail.

10/31 AM - email sent asking if I needed to apply for a new initial or if I could still renew an expired license
10/31 PM - response received, told to proceed with renewal
10/31 - application filed
11/16 - additional documents requested (new photo / training certificate)

11/24 - license arrived in mail
