What's the most recent information regarding stated "good cause"? I have plenty of good cause, but have seen some discussion that we are back to "self defense".

Hello. Just got notified that my appointment got moved up from mid April to Jan 28th. I got an email requesting a photo and my training certificate. I won't be able to complete the training before the appointment. I'm assuming this isn't an issue? Also, was hoping someone who recently had their appointment can chime in about how their interview went and what, if any, good cause type question they had to answer. Thanks.

My interview was in August. The interview consists of going over the questions you answered during the application process and not much more and of course, answering any questions that you might have. The interview lasted about 10 minutes.

I hadn't done my training prior to the interview either, I was told to submit my training certificate within 3 weeks of my interview date.

Go ahead and get your Livescan done ASAP. The time required for for Livescan to clear has apparently gotten much better so you might clear in a couple weeks. Make sure you get the ATI # at the bottom of the completed Livescan form so that you an check online to see the status of your Livescan.

Your training certificate and completed Livescan are all that will be needed after the interview for approval of your CCW application.

First time poster, first time CCW application.

How long does it take after the initial application to get any kind of response as to whether you are approved or not? or what is the next step that I need to expect?

I would obviously like to do my training and live scan as soon as possible but if I have to wait for something first before I can start that, I would like to know what the process looks like.

Your training certificate is valid 6 months so if your appt is not within 6 months you should wait.
In the meantime you can submit all other docs.
Once you have appt date within 6 months go ahead and do the training.
I submitted my app in September and my appt is in May if you interested in my timeline.
