    It always says Approval Pending.
I checked last night and the Status Bar is gone.
Any idea how much longer before I get a yes or no answer?

Didn't even have my LA CCW for a full year... And I'm moving to The OC in a few months.

RIP. Any chance I can use my training from LA CCW March 2021?

Depends on whether the trainers were also approved for OC.
But the biggest issue is the time. OC training requirement certificate is good for 6 months.

You’ll likely need to retake the course as it’s almost a year old.

          RIP Wallet.

          Thanks.
I'm moving in end of May. I'll start the app this week. I already have proof of residency. (Don't ask why)

I just recently applied for my CCW renewal … four months in advance. Strange thing happened after I submitted it though. I received TWO different Permitium confirmation emails at precisely the same time stamp, each with a different order #. One has all the attachments I submitted with the application, the other has no attachments other than the signature page. I clearly did NOT do two different applications at the same time … this is some kind of error in the Permitium system. Anyone else get this? Do I need to clear this up with OCSD?

Do we have to let the sheriff's department know if we change jobs?

No, that would a diinky request to them to issue you a modification if you got a new job.

No need to do that unless your permit has restrictions that make it valid only while "on the job". While state law allows for such restrictions, I don't believe OC issues permits with those restrictions.

I decided to give them a call today after no response via email.
The lady was very nice, saying she would check my status.
Then she comes back on the line and says that i need to talk to her supervisor.

The supervisor tells me that my application has been withdrawn.
When i ask why, she said that I had 10 days after my interview to submit more paperwork and that time went by with no response
Luckily I saved all email correspondences with them.
When i ask what she needed, she said Proof of Residence.
I told her that i sent it at this time and this date. Ohh, i see that was her response.
We also need proof of your class. I sent it on the same date 2 minutes later. Ohh, i see that.
She also ask why there was a letter from my employer. I told her that they ask for proof of employment. Ohh, was her response

Long story short.... KEEP RECORDS of all emails that you have with the Sheriff Dept !

My CCW card will be sent in the mail tomorrow

There seems so much wrong with that, starting with the idea that they can unilaterally "withdraw" your application and further that they can do it without informing you. As far as I know they are required to either approve you or deny you and if denied they have to inform you in writing and say why. Sounds like there was a major breakdown in policy and procedure here, not to mention their non-recognition of your complying with your request for documents. Makes me wonder how many others this might have happened to.

One part of me was happy that i got approved, the other part of me was pissed that they allowed this to happen.
The supervisor that i spoke with was very polite and even apologized about their mistake.
I'm just glad that I called when I did and kept records of all my emails with them

Understood. I think not recognizing that you were complying with their requests can be considered a series of mistakes, but even the existence of a policy and procedure to secretly "withdraw" your application seems pernicious.
