It's an issue in other forums too...there was a thread about it a while back. You need to be on Tapatalk to see it. They get deleted by apparently stick around for a while. If you post another pic it will take it's place, since Tapatalk posts the most recent pic.

6 months seems a bit lengthy to process a renewal. I sent mine in back in August just inside of the 3 month window so I guess it will expire before my renewal comes through.

Live scan can take up to 5 months at this momment according to CCW staff at SBCSD

No Live scan for renewal. Unless they just started requiring that recently.

I emailed the CCW unit in March to schedule the interview, and went straight on to complete my training and fingerprints in April since I knew it would take some time for DOJ to get it done.
Had my interview in July, and I am picking up the permit next week.
Not too bad, I guess.

How is that possible? I emailed the CCW unit in January, and my interview was in June. At that time I submitted my live scan, and I'm still waiting for it to come back.

I also emailed OCSD today requesting an update on my application. Imagine my great pleasure to be told my DOJ came in last week and that my file was submitted for final approval.

I followed-up by asking if I could expect a pickup appointment in 4-6 weeks. They wouldn't commit to a timeline, but I am happy nonetheless. I'm hopeful it'll happen by mid Nov given a weeklong family trip.

When I was submitted for final approval by the Captain, it roughly took 1 month then 2 weeks to pick up permit
