Hey guys, I submitted my training docs 14 days ago and haven't received any confirmation of receipt. I have missed a call that came through as spam as I've been getting a lot of those lately and they tend to auto-silence. Do you guys think I should resend the email?

I haven't received any confirmation either. There have been a few instances I've read on here, who never received confirmation but after reaching out to them, they were all confirmed received. So I wouldn't worry about it too much tbh.

If I recall correctly, most IA's will not let you add a single shot to your permit. So the workaround is to convert it to a semi, PPT it to a friend, and re-dros it to yourself. Or something along those lines.

I'm just reiterating what I've read on Reddit.

If you sent in your training docs, they have received it. They don?t always send confirmation of receipt like in my case (see my timeline in signature). I would say give it right around the same amount of time to schedule pickup as you see in my history.

Just got my PPT email today. Almost exactly 3mon from my interview date (which is on the lower end of the range of time the deputy told me after the interview). Feels like a best case scenario to me. After waiting a year for my interview I didn’t expect the PPT to come this quickly.

Now I just need to figure out where to get my training done and find some time to do so.

Did we ever determine why you were called for interview so much earlier than anyone else?

This worries me. I sent it the day after the decision and I haven't got my call for interview. Maybe I should call them.

I'm in the same boat. Today is June 22, 2023 and I certified mailed my LASD CCW app on June 23, 2022 (last year after Bruen decision). I emailed LASD yesterday for a status since I have not heard anything and this is their reply (at least they acknowledged receiving it):

"Your application has been received. You will be contacted when your file has been assigned to an investigator. We are working diligently to process all applications and they will be assigned in the order received."

But I also applied to LAPD at the same time and had LAPD CCW in hand on Jan 17, 2023 (first batch --4th person to receive--post Bruen).

Looking for some help with finding an online training course.

I’m going to be traveling a lot and scheduling a full day training somewhere will be tricky. I was hoping I could find an online course that I can chip away at while I have time then so the short live fire in person of course.

So far looks like Safe Insight might fit the bill ans would be ideal since they use my local range. Has anyone used them? VIP CCW looks like another option but seems the online class still has to be scheduled (zoom) rather than self directed, online at anytime (which I’d prefer - if that even exists).

I’d appreciate any suggestions and experiences here. Thanks!

I did mine with Josh @ VIP CCW Services since my schedule with work would be hard to do a one time 8 hour course. Did 4 hours that went by quick on zoom and the rest in class with training and live fire. I definitely recommend Josh since he will teach you a lot and answer any kind of question you may have for defense situations.

He also accommodated for a last minute request I had with his busy schedule so I rather work with someone with that type of character.

Did we ever determine why you were called for interview so much earlier than anyone else?

It appears that there was a handful of us based on the posts I?ve been following here that were outliers or got the luck of the draw who submitted in June and got the interview call sooner than most.

I have a strong feeling the rush of applicants post Bruen changed the process times drastically and they were forced to implement new processing procedures since they had never experienced this type of volume.

Here is my timeline again, i had my interview on June 20th, it lasted about 20 minutes like someone else said earlier. Mostly just routine YES/NO questions, he did refer to my good cause statement, but only for my employment status. He also said it is normally 3-6 months for the PTT email, but he said i should get it quicker in 3 months due to my clean record. He also said i am good to do my firearm traning before i get the PTT email since it will be good for one year. Good luck to you all.

I did zoom in March and the range on 4/7. Then I went back for the Utah class and found out you can use the certificate he provides for the Utah license to submit for a Florida license as long as you have done the range qual since Utah won?t cover Florida.

The only one left is for Arizona.
