Has anyone in LAPD areas that applied to LASD before the cutoff had any progress recently? I applied LASD in July... wondering if they may have thrown the app out. I requested a place in line for LAPD in Feb 23.

If you applied before 8/1/22, you should be good to go. If you are worried, call in and see if they have your application.

Havent been able to get thru the phone line, but sent a message. My concern is bank says cashier's check hasn't gone through yet. I mailed via USPS.

Expect a call around June/July. The average time used to be 9 months but either Luna taking office or them slowing down application processing seemed to have pushed it further. I applied in March and got my interview call in March.

Bugging them through emails is not going to speed up the process.

This is for a friend that applied through LAPD and after 3 months they called and said that he needs to apply with Arcadia. I already have my ccw and am in the renewal process via Lasd.

Expiration end of May. Sent in renewal beginning of December, just had phone interview today (4/21/23). Deputy said I should hear something within 2 weeks to proceed to training if approved.

Well boys, I just got the call to schedule my interview. App delivered 6/14/2022. Money order cashed 7/22/2022. Call to schedule 4/25/2023. Interview date 5/16/2023.

Asking for an update on the exercising of a constitutional right is not "bugging them". The process is unreasonably long and they have no incentive to change it.
