Possible, but not likely. You?re still early in the process, pretty rare when someone only has to wait for that short of a period. You can call or email them to confirm they received it.

Also, from what I?ve read on here, dropping off at your local station can mean big delays. I?d you mail directly it can get to the CCW unit in days. If you drop it off then you?re at the mercy of a transfer from your local station to the CCW unit. I?m thinking this may be why mine is so delayed. I fear my app may have sat for months at my local station before it got sent out. It?s the only logical reason why I?ve now waited a year. Although it?s probably stupid to try and apply logic to this situation.

Funny how i assumed it would be faster by dropping off but ended up being slower haha

Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of submitting my app. Still have not received a call for interview. Or ANY communication whatsoever. I?ll just keep waiting patiently I guess.

That's nuts man. Sorry. I sent mine in April 2022 and I'm picking up next month. 12 months start to finish

Got the call to pick up today

I finally got the call at lunchtime today. I pick up on April 21. I submitted my application on 7/5/2022 so it took 9 months total from start to finish. It took almost exactly 7 weeks since training documents received.

I missed my call for interview, but he left a voicemail. I called back, left the deputy a message and he did call me back the next day.

Btw I mailed my application 3/2022, I didn?t get my call for interview until 2/2023.

Im waiting on a pick up for the permit.

Got an email from LASD asking for a utilities bill. Im one of those people with nothing in my name. Its all behind trusts. I was a little crushed when I read it, but then saw that they’ll take a marriage certificate and a bill in the name of my wife.

Went to work and found a cable bill in her name. Whew! Sent my marriage certificate and the bill and am in process again.

Hoping that this exchange with LASD doesnt push me back another 4 weeks.

LASD system for Ccw is all random. It?s not in the order they receive the applications. I mailed in my application 3/2022, 1 month before you! I had my interview 2/2023 and am still waiting for my call to proceed to training. I?m estimating my total time line will be 18 monts

Me n the wife applied back in the beginning of Feb 22, she got the call to pickup last Sunday she got her training received email 2 weeks before me. Hope I get the call by next Sunday but I doubt it.

Anyone get the call for pickup this weekend? Didn't see anyone update since Friday for pickup. Pretty discouraging.

I got the call to pick up last Friday, 3/17.

NEW PROCESS:
I was called by a non LASD contractor, who gave me the phone # to the CCW scheduler and asked me to call THEM. They answered on the first ring and gave me a date. So it looks like they have outsourced part of their process. Upshot, as long as the contractor leaves the # on your VM, we no longer need to be concerned about missing the call and having to be put back in line.

Ive seen the scan ranging from months for some people to days for some .... thought it was just a more firearms mean more time to approve
