I thought I've read conflicting info on qualifying with multiple guns. Do you need to pay extra for each additional gun you want on your permit?
My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.

I don't think so, I asked the sheriff that interviewed me yesterday if we can put 3 guns on the permit and she said yes, she didn't mention anything regarding paying extra though...

I am going for the qual this weekend and I am putting 3 handguns on the permit. No additional cost for the number of guns as long as it's max 3. Just make sure you show up to the qual with all the guns, that's it.

The permit or the actual qual? My training and qual will be in a couple weeks in Livermore and that vendor charges a little extra for each gun.

That will depend on the training instructor you chose. My Class charged $50 per gun.

Some instructors don't charge additional, but they may also charge more for the class.

You should "shop around" for a different vendor then, 2A Firearms academy in Concord doesn't charge I know for sure, that's where I am planning on doing my class/qual when the time comes.

Did anyone need to provide updated documents? Like if registration was used for proof of residency, waiting so long, registration doc is expired already...

maybe but it is very attractive for me to take the class in Livermore. I talked to the guy at LEO on the phone and I liked our conversation. Sometimes, saving every dollar isn't my highest priority. If I really mostly cared about money, I probably wouldn't be doing CCW at all.

You might want to double check if 2A Academy is in the list of approved vendors when Judea sends you that email. As of 1/16/24, they were not in the approved list by ACSO. My guess is because most likely 2A Academy is not POST certified but I could be very wrong about this.

But yes, I agree that shop around and see what works best for you.

The permit can be up to 3 guns and ACSO doesn't charge you extra for this. The qual is done by the trainers and depending on who you pick, you may or may not get charged extra for additional guns. I went B.A.T and they charged me flat $400 for the 16 hours class + range (+ optional range in their private ranch) and they didn't charge me anything extra for additional firearm.

But as someone said above, shop around and you will get the general feel on who you should go with.

Has anyone recently sent in the range qual certificate to Judea Mulder? I sent mine about a week and a half ago and no reply.

back in December, I got a response in 3 days, with instructions to schedule a pickup date.

They usually email people in groups.

Has anyone done their yearly qual? Do we wait for them to send us a notice first with a new list of qualified instructors?
