I would imagine they would prioritize those with expiring licenses. At least I hope they would.

I did not pay online. They made no mention of their prioritization scheme, but it seems it was not FIFO...

In my case, after submitting everything on Permitium, THEY called ME to schedule the appointment. So, contrary to the note, they are monitoring, and even processing, at least some parts of the application process. I am going there on Thursday, so we will see what happens.

byteheed--That certainly seems to be the case both by the Permitium site that says it is not being monitored, AND by the SDSO site that suggests there are no appointments being scheduled until further notice. I guess the question on the table is: Are these two statements in the websites still true as written, or are they left over from a previous policy state and applications can be processed.

    Bummer.
I didn't try, don't need to right now. Are you saying that you applied and it wouldn't give you an appointment? It shouldn't need to be monitored to assign an appointment.

That wording about the Permitium site not being monitored has been up for a while. It is not clear to me what that means. Does anybody have the definitive answer?

Yes. I was hoping they were doing the initial permits.

That is great news Kate, that is is first information I have heard that indicates a renewal is possible with the current closure. So the office will open for a fingerprint, signature and permit pick up? It also seems to indicate that the note I see on the Permitium that says the site is not currently being being monitored is either not accurate or does not apply to this situation.
