I don't think just being "old" is good enough. One needs to show that they are more at-risk than the general population. I used my open-heart surgery and that I am now physically weaker than the "average" person. I found out at my last cardiologist visit a couple weeks ago that due to my age my sternum most likely will never reattach; that gives me extra "cause." Most of us old guys have some physical limitation, i.e. arthritis.

Well, that's sort of my point. So much depends on what "average" means and what "average" is being used for comparison. Your surgery makes you less able to defend yourself physically then the "average" person. An "average" 70 year old with the average physical limitations is less able to defend himself than the average person, and the average 70 year woman even less. I see no reason to justify the idea that a 70 year old must be more vulnerable than other 70 year olds as opposed to the average citizen in order to qualify.
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

The more time I spend on this forum, the more sense kcbrown makes.

From what I read, the comparison is with the general public. The problem is Gore doesn't see self defense as good enough. If said elderly person is "required" to be in a "dangerous" situation or location, that would suffice as GC. That link above should provide a good outline for anyone to use. All those GC's were approved.

So... I made the mistake of adding an AR pistol to the list of handguns I wanted to carry. What can I do? Is there a way to edit the list?
My appointment isn't until May 24th 2021 (earliest available).

I'm not sure about the new online Permitium application; on my initial application, while I didn't list an AR pistol, I listed different guns than the ones I finally qualified.
I asked the clerk about the listed guns vs the ones that I qualified, she said no problem.

On my renewal, I also listed different guns on Permitium then I sold one of them hence I qualified with different one. No issue either.

IMO, I don't think it really matters what you listed on the application but the ones you qualified with and listed on the Firearms Safety and Proficiency Certificate; these will be on your permit.

However, if you have doubts, you can always ask them directly via email.

Wait, what? No limit? Not to be rude, but are you sure? (They JUST increased the limit to 5 less than three months ago, hence the question.)

I also picked up my renewal permit this morning 8:13am, saw one person ahead of me, by any chance that's you ezaircon4jc?

I asked the clerk the same question and her reply was the same as above, there's no limit.
I've never I thought I say this. Great job Sheriff Gore!

I wished I knew this during my renewal training, I would have added a few more.
Now I need to re-qualify to add a few more.

From this morning, no limit! 100% sure.

Also, the new additional credit cards are very nice. However, the clerk said I still need to carry the rice paper too since DOJ has not approved of the credit card type.

Do we have to re-qualify with our original 3 all over again when adding more than three? Or just go qualify with any new additions and they add that to our list? And would that be walk in or do we have to make an appointment?

"Yeah, like... well, I just want to slap a hippie or two. Maybe even make them get jobs."

"Do we have to re-qualify with our original 3 all over again when adding more than three?" Are you asking this about renewal or just additions to the permit? Sorry, I wasn't clear on your question.
For the renewal, yes. For the latter, no, you only re-qual the additions. Per clerk that I asked.

No walk-in. You need to submit online app in Permitium to setup appointment.

Just need to qualify the add'l firearms. No need to take a class or requalify the original firearms.
