How people usually get in is via going to matches where the public can attend.

The Club has been opening the doors for such. So non club members can show up, get to know other members and start the relationship from there.

All the match and membership info in on the the website. I admit, the website is lacking, but the information is there.

Sunnyvale Rod and Gun Club is the closest range to my house by far. For years I could hear shots on Sat morning. Had no idea where they are coming from. As many picked up shooting during the pandemics. Once the club was reopened for non members went on Sat morning a few times. Good range, but I?m often busy/away on Sat. Seems the only other event opened for non members is Bullseye shooting on Wed night twice a month.

Richmond Rod and Gun, an hour or more drove for me, has an affordable associate membership program and what seems to be a clearer path to a full membership.

Not a complain, just an impression/observation.

Looked at the club website. I see no mention of the upcoming public access on Tuesdays. Where should I look?

My guess is they will wait until after the 4th so people don't mistakenly try to come early. I can confirm that Dan L has posted correct info, per the member newsletter.

New public day starting Tues July 14th!

For those that maybe new to SRGC,
we are opening to the public on a new day of the week starting Tues July 11th!

Our new hours are as posted below:

Tuesday:
Rifle/Pistol Range: 10am - 4pm
Trap: 5pm - 9pm

Saturday:
Rifle/Pistol Range & Trap: 9am-3pm

I'll be posting a longer thread on this later today, along with some new promotional discounts we will be offering to celebrate our new public day.

We hope to get back to our pre-covid public day schedule!

Wow been waiting for this range to reopen prepandemic hours. Been going there several years before pandemic but hasn't gone since pandemic due to the lack of good scheduling.
