Have you considered Scott Reitz at ITTS?

If your interested in traveling as far South as Camp Pendleton we will be shooting the long line on the 7th and can give you some help there.

I actually have several newer folks coming out that day and you could work in with them.

You have some good suggestions given by the prevous two folks.

I'm not sure if AR15Barrels and or rksimple with the California Precision Rifle Club give personal lessons in long distance shooting, but you could ask them. They and all the good folks at the CPRC welcome everyone, are friendly and have a world full of knowledge and experience and are happy to share it. You may want to check them out at:

        Good luck, Send it.

What kind of LR shooting instruction are you seeking?

NRA, Palma, F-Class, Tactical, Square Range Known Distance, Unknown Distance?

I recommend you to go to the training center of ITTS, and I am sure they will appoint a reliable and experienced trainer for you.

i dont reload and don't have access or funds for the equipment to do so... do you know if factory ammo is worth the time? not gonna be gathering much load info...

(sorry to derail the thread here...)

Match Factory Ammo will work. But it gets pricey depending on what you are shooting. If you use anything else you will just hinder yourself.

Factory ammo is fine. It's what most of the clinic attendees use since like you, they are just starting out and haven't made any investment in equipment.
