Hi All, just joined this forum on advice recently received while searching to locate local (California) private parties selling Hi-Point JHP .45 ACP pistols.
I have been a long-time firearm owner/enthusiast all of my adult life and am presently a resident in the Los Angeles area.
As some of you may be aware of, there is no Hi-Point handgun left on the California roster (the last two models remaining on the roster were the C9 9mm and CF .380 ACP, but were taken off the CA roster as of January 1, 2024), which means that no Hi-Point handgun can now be legally purchased in California from a commercial seller unless you are a law enforcement officer purchasing the gun(s). It is my understanding that the only option available to anyone else in CA to legally purchase a Hi-Point handgun is to do so from a private party selling it privately (meaning directly to the buyer, with a local FFL dealer acting as intermediary for the sale, so that it will be a legal sale of the firearm according to current California law).
I am therefore looking for suggestions on ways to locate California residents selling Hi-Point JHP .45 ACP pistols via PPT (Private Party Transfer). What would be the proper section of this forum where to post my request for assistance in this regard? Thanks very much for your help, which will be very highly appreciated!
