I should of done this a long time ago... Even though I've been a member for awhile, I'm still a freakin' new guy here. I'm getting my butt in shape for the Air Force. Working on my certifications: CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), Pen Tester, Gunsmithing, NRA Instructor, and other crap. I've always thought AR-15 was never allowed in California but after visiting this website/forum, I start to learn more crap than I ever did before (Thank you Calguns.net, you rock my world). My dreams about humping an AR-15 is turning into reality. I finally get to pull the trigger and be happy about it. I'm a college student, working on my B.A. in International Studies (to know the history and know what the heck is going on around the world), Minor in Criminal Justice so I can mentally shove my knowledge up some criminal's head. I love cruising along the coast and mountain, I love mother nature but I ain't no hippie. Mother nature hates hippies, period. Mother nature wants an individual to protect his rights (and to bear arms). Thank you everyone on Calguns.net for helping me out and god bless you all. You guys are awsome!

Hi I stumbled upon this forum when looking up information the Remington 1187P in google. I am new to shotguns but not rifles and pistols and currently serving in the California Army National Guard. What I like about this forum the most is that it is mostly geared toward California.Comment

Hey! Total newb here. Bought my 1st rifle about a month ago (m44) and am completely hooked. Which thread would I go to for information on black powder weapons/supplies?
Thanks in advance!

Oooops! I'm guilty. I didn't check here first. Sorry, but I'm looking forward in living and working in the Bay Area after 22 years in the USAF. I wish I knew that I can bring in some STI frames and other needed handguns, but I am coming from overseas.

OOOOOOPPPSSS! Me too, I forgot to muster here when I signed up. Great site.Originally posted by tankermanI think most folks bubba their AR's because they watch too many action movies, play too many video games and don't understand how to socialize properly, so they fantasize about being 'action hero's'. Kind of like little girls playing dress-up.Originally posted by Douglas711Is everybody stocking up on guys now? Just curious some gun prices seem to be getting high.Comment

Hey gang,
New to the board. At best, my gun collection consisted of:
HK USPf40, RIA 1911 GI (had a kimber 22rf slide for it as well), Charter Arms 38 Undercover(from 71), Kel-Tec SU-16CA, 37 Mosin Nagant M91/30, 47 Mosin Nagant M44, and a Rem 870 Express for trap.
Right now, I have the 2 Mosins, the Rem, the revolver, and a S&W 1911PD that I'm 3 days into the 10 day waiting period. Hopefully gonna pick a USP Expert 45 up in January and then I'll think about building an AR-15 or getting another Kel-tec as money permits.Comment

Hello, another newcomer to this forum. Got my first rifle 32 years ago, and since then have had a number of rifles, shotguns, and handguns. I've been relatively inactive in shooting sports for the last 8 years, but the bug has bitten again, and now I'm getting into it again with gusto.
I've always loved skeet & sporting clays, as well as target shooting, but my primary interest right now is in long range precision shooting as well as tactical rifles. I'm looking forward to taking some courses and entering some competitions. I love handguns too, so I'll be upping the inventory there too over the next year or so.
I treated myself to a Ft. Knox gun safe, which should be delivered any day now.
Finally, I'm setting up a hand loading bench in my shop.
Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I've been lurking around this forum for a while now, and decided to jump in. Thanks for all the great info. I look forward to learning more from you all.
Oh yeah, right now I have:
A Remington 870 Wingmaster that I got when I was 16 (26 years ago) with a 30" FC bbl, as well as an 18" bbl.
A Remington 700 PSS .308 awaiting an AICS 1.5 stock. This weekend I'll be lapping some Badger rings and mounting a NightForce NXS 5.5 - 22x on it.
I used to have a Marlin Arms lever action 30 30, an old .22, a Mossberg 500 Persuader 12 Ga., and a Stainless Steel Colt Combat Commander .45.
I'm looking to add a 1911 to the collection before long. A little further down the line I'd like to order a .338 LM or .300 WM with a McMillan A5 stock from G.A. Precision. A friend of mine just received his .308 from G.A.P. built with a left handed Nesika action. It's a sweet stick.Last edited by Nom de Guerre; 01-13-2008, 11:34 PM.Comment
